Cocktail Hour

Screen shot 2014-09-30 at 10.08.53 PM I like a good mix... my style is an eclectic hodgepodge; I often enjoy a stiff and perfectly mixed cocktail; and when it comes to home decor I like a mix of  both vintage and new pieces.  Antiquing is one of my favorite weekend activities. A Saturday spent at an antique show is ideal... strolling through decades of history and rows of treasures. Thanks to esteemed editor and Southern C Summit connection Amy Flurry, I recently discovered a unique website that brings the antique mall to your laptop.

Chairish is a fantastic tool for antique aficionados and bargain hunters alike. You can see listings for all types of vintage and retro inspired furniture, art, and other decor from around the country and make an offer. I noticed their fabulous collection of mid mod pieces so I decided to put together a few of my favorite finds.

Fuchsia bar stools: not vintage but they're a great nod to the atomic aesthetic from the 60s.

Original 1966 Dylan poster by American artist Milton Glaser - simple design with wild color.

Mid Mod Shelving: no longer available on the website but check out these other similar styles

C Jere Brass Sunburst Wall Sculpture: A circa 1980s dramatic brass sunburst sculpture by Curtis Jere. The sculpture features radiating brass wires on three tiers.
