I love shopping for gifts during the holidays; getting someone something that they would like and use is an art. Whether you have a backpacker or weekend warrior on your gift list, I've rounded up some of my favorite things that any traveler would want.
Gift Guide for Travelers
Shopping locally for the holidays is getting easier every year. I've put together a few of my favorite items made in the U.S. or available at local retailers. Best part? You can purchase all of these things online! P.S. All of these items are on my Christmas list in case anyone is wondering...

Best Travel Shoes
Whether you're going hiking for a week or a girls weekend in Chicago, you'll want comfortable shoes for lots of walking while looking good. I've rounded up a few of my favorite shoes that are comfortable, cute, and perfect for the wanderer on your list.
I can't live without my Sorel 'Joan of Arctic' boots. They're incredibly warm and keep my feet dry in inches of snow. Although I don't own these Sorel slippers, I can't help but think how perfect they'd be on a winter camping trip or for hanging out by the fire in a cozy cabin. I professed my love of Chacos a couple of weeks ago on the blog, so it should come as no surprise that they made the gift guide. I think these black slip on kicks would be the perfect airport shoe, not to mention comfortable on long city strolls. I bought my first pair of Olukai sandals for a trip to Turkey and Greece years ago and they were perfect. I walked the streets of Athens and Istanbul with ease and looked cute doing it. As for the Merrell boots, I wear them just about every weekend. They're perfect for just about any weekend activity: light hikes in the Hoosier National Forest, the farmers market, antiquing and more.
I don't know about you but I'm always cold. Doesn't matter if I'm on a plane, at the beach, or in a museum, I like to layer. Solution? A cozy wrap.
I'm really happy the poncho trend is back. There are so many different patterns and fabrics to satisfy lots of different styles and budgets. Can't decide? You can't go wrong with White & Warren cashmere wrap. It comes in a million different colors and perfect for swaddling oneself.
These useful accessories make great stocking stuffers for jet setters and road trippers alike. A couple of essentials (travel adapter, brow kit, coffee mug) and then a few things just for fun (camera, luggage tag, and headphones). What's your favorite travel accessory?
