When you see this sign... you have to go in. Located in the Near West Side neighborhood in Chicago, Ryan, Madeline and I stumbled upon Lone Wolf while waiting for a table at Au Cheval (right next door). The nondescript entry and Three Floyds logo out front drew us in and to our surprise and delight there were tables a plenty, cold beer, and a small menu to tide us over.

We cozied up in a leather booth while the bartender offered us beer samples while we settled in. Having several of the Three Floyds brews on tap the choice was simple. No Zombie Dust but we tried the Man-o-Awe pale ale and it was quite tasty. The menu is an English style pub menu with a variety of meat/veggie pies and hearty pub fare. snacks. Since we had big plans for brunch down the street we ordered a scotch egg and welsh rarebit for snacking.

Offering creative cocktails, wines, and some sought after craft beer, I imagine this place is packed most nights. Lucky for us the brunch crowd was at Little Goat and Au Cheval eating Brunch while sipped and snacked in peace (and heavenly AC) waiting patiently for our turn at Brunch.  If you're ever waiting for tables in the neighborhood or just hang at a cool bar - head to Lone Wolf Tavern.
