The year is flying y'all. In February, I visited my hometown of St. Simons Island for a week to visit family and to attend The Southern C Summit. If you're not familiar with the Summit, it is a conference for entrepreneurs big and small with learning sessions with successful pros like Rose Marie Swift of RMS Beauty and networking sessions that give you access to editors of publications like Garden & Gun and Hoffman Media. It was valuable to me as a writer to get in front of editors as well as business owners to think about future story possibilities. The past two years it's been hosted at The Cloister on Sea Island which is easy on the eyes, especially coming from the nasty cold weather in the Midwest.

Winter, however, didn't slow USA travelers down. Each month I'm inspired and impressed by the photos shared by #theusiscooltoo community! Check out my top 10 favorites posted in February.

I love Callie's Hot Little Biscuit in Charleston so much this photo had to make this list. If you don't already have the Callie's Charleston Biscuits cookbook, I'd highly recommend it. That way you can travel South by way of biscuits any time you want! Don't want your kitchen covered in flour? You can order them ready-made too!

Before I moved to the Midwest, I often wondered what people did all winter... Now I know; they cross-country ski and snow shoe.

I love me some vintage signs. This one was snapped by Eric on a road trip through Marfa, Texas. Do you photograph anything in particular on a road trip?

Have you ever heard of the Little Grand Canyon in Georgia? Hike miles of trails to take in the views and see the rare Plumleaf azalea in July and August.

Anyone else ready for summer road trips on the back roads? I know I am.

Buffalo, New York has been on my list to visit for a while because of its incredible architecture. After seeing this photo of Niagara Falls, I'm ready to add that on to the itinerary. The photographer Teal says if you plan to go during the off-season (winter) then you'll have the view all to yourself just like she did.
